A Quiet Place for the Grieving Heart

Some losses change the shape of our days. They alter the way morning light enters a room, the way silence settles, the way we breathe. If you’re here, you may know that kind of loss — the kind that doesn’t simply pass, but becomes part of who you are.

This space exists for you.

A place to rest.

A place to remember.

A place to heal gently, without pressure or timelines.

My Story

I’m John Anno — a husband, father, ministry worker, and author who walked through the valley of grief and learned that God meets us in the quiet places we never expected.

My memoir, It’s Ok to Cry: A Widower’s Journey, is the story of love, loss, and the slow return of hope. It’s honest. It’s tender. And it’s written for anyone who has ever whispered, “I don’t know how to do this without them.”

For Those Who Are Grieving

You don’t have to walk this road alone.

Here you’ll find words meant to steady trembling hands, strengthen weary hearts, and remind you

that God is still near — even here, even now.

Devotionals & Encouragement

I write daily and weekly reflections for those navigating loss, faith, and the quiet work of healing.

These devotionals are simple, Scripture‑rooted, and written in the same voice I use when sitting

with someone who’s hurting.

Speaking & Ministry

Whether through seminars, church gatherings, or community events, I share messages of hope,

resilience, and the faithfulness of God in seasons of sorrow.

If your church or organization needs a voice that speaks gently and honestly about grief, I’d be honored to serve.

You are not weak for grieving.

You are not behind.

You are not alone.

Hope doesn’t always arrive loudly.

Sometimes it comes softly — like morning light finding its way in.
